… know that I loved you.
And sometimes I hated you.
Because in God’s perfect universe, both are used for positive outcomes.
Know that my love wasn’t perfect, but it was the best I could do given what I knew at the time.
Know that I don’t want you to be sorry for whatever you think you did to hurt me, because it’s the best you could do given what you knew at the time.
The lessons you taught me were a gift disguised as pain.
But if it’s forgiveness you want, I give it to you freely.
Know that I love your mind as much as I love your heart. Life is not always about feelings.
Remember the good times, but don’t regret the bad times. Because if it weren’t for those not-so-good times, we’d never be completely grateful for the amazing memories we shared.
Know that I have no regrets. You shouldn’t either.
Know that my intentions were always good.
Know that if I ever made you feel less than loved, it was not on purpose.
Know that your pain is my pain and I’ve prayed for you when you were in my life, but especially during those times when you left to find your truth.
If I’ve made a fraction of the impact on you as you’ve made on me, my life has been worth living.
You will always be a part of me … always. Because that’s something that nothing — not even death — can take away from us.
Remember to be thankful for it all.
Know that I will miss you until we meet again. Yet I will never be far from you.
But since the chances are more than good that we will live to see another day beyond today, consider sharing this message with everyone you love — especially those with whom you have lost touch for whatever reason — just in case.
